In September, Solvere™ Living communities squared off and competed for the best refreshment cart, American Graffiti 1950s style. There were Elvis’, a Fonzie, poodle skirts, horn-rimmed glasses and good old-fashioned diner food like hamburgers, hot dogs, shakes and fries.
These moving masterpieces were a great way for team members to express their creative side. It was also a happy surprise for residents when the carts made their daily rounds providing food, drink and conversation.
And the winners, Drum Roll Please . . .
First Place – The Monarch at Richardson, Texas team members wore pink and poodle skirts, had a Fonzie look alike and a refreshment cart that would’ve beat any cruiser down main street.
Second Place – The Sterling at Aventura, Florida were “all shook up” with their own Elvis parading around in his chariot serving mouth-watering ice cream floats and hot dogs with all the fixin’s.
Third Place – The Heritage at Sandy Place at Marietta, Georgia had a nifty 50’s diner with black and white checkers, and carhops with horned rimmed glasses serving hamburgers and the biggest onion rings around.
Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all the Solvere Living communities that made this an event to remember.
